"Let sleeping dogs lie" - means not to do anything to change the situation especially if you know there would be some bad consequences.  Example:

A: Do you think I should ask the boss if she is OK with my delay this morning. B: She saw you, but she didn’t say anything, so I think you should let the sleeping dogs lie.
