to be in someone's bad books = to be in disgrace or out of favour (в немилост съм) Example: I forgot to buy my wife flowers, so now I'm in her bad books. to go from bad to worse = to get worse than it already is (от лошо, по-лошо) Example: There isn't much chance of getting a better job in this town. A lot of people are unemployed. The situation has gone from bad to worse. to go through a bad patch = to experience a lot of problems for a certain period of time (лош късмет, лош момент) Example: The world economy has certainly been going through a bad patch but there are definite signs of improvement. to make the best of a bad job = to try to salvage something from a ruined situation Example: John couldn't buy teh car he wanted, so he's going to make the best of a bad job and save the money to repair the roof.
