"Hear it on the grapevine" - means to learn something talking to somebody else, who has learned it from somebody else; to learn something hearing gossips; (да науча нещо от слухове или клюки)

 

Example: I heard it on the grapevine we are going to have new Math teacher but I don't know anything more.
